Devils Tower, WA

5/3/2014

Devils Tower sites today.  Cool night last night, around 40 deg. F.  We had a beautiful sunny day though.  Temp was in the mid 70's deg. F.  We decided to stay two nights here and enjoy the beautiful scenery in the empty camp ground.

We shared the camp ground with several Boy Scouts last night, but they were all gone this morning.  We rode our bikes to the entrance, about one mile away to check out the shops. We enjoy looking at the Native American Indian art.

We attempted to ride further up the hills to a information center and trail around Devils Tower, but decided early on the hills were a bit more than we wanted to attempt.  So we returned to the camp ground and drove the Kodiak instead.  Are we glad we did.  The trip was about 2.5 miles and very steep climb.  We would of had fun coming back, if we ever got their.

Heading out tomorrow on Our Travel Adventures toward Yellow Stone National Park. It looks like it might be a 8 hour drive. We will probably split it up a couple days a least.  Rain tonight and in the low 40 deg. F.  We can't complain though, been beautiful weather.
