Custer State Park Campground, SD

Left Rapid City SD Flying J to Custer State Park SD.  Windy cool day.  We made a stop at a RV shop to have a leak repaired in our Generator gas line.  Meet a couple local ladies that own and travel in a C Class Motor Home.  Nice talking with them and sharing experiences. We stopped continued on to Keystone SD.  About a 40 min. drive to Keystone SD.  Keystone is about 3 miles from the monument.

Rained while we were their, so we continued South to Custer State Park, SD to camp for the night.  Cost $15.00 for 7 day State Park pass, and $26.00 for one nights camping with electricity.  Nice Camp ground.   Tomorrow we will explore the park scenic loop before moving on to Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore National Monument.

5/10/2015 Sunny 74 deg. F today.  We left Pocatello, Idaho  and our visit with Aaron, Kimberly, Logan, and Peyton last evening.  We stayed at Sam's Club last night.  Quiet and we sleep well. We are heading toward Salt Lake City today via I-15 to see the Mormon Tabernacle .  Aaron was very helpful giving us different routes to take.  We chose the safe less scenic route because of the snow predicted.  We still enjoyed the drive.  Snow top mountains are beautiful. We continued South to Provo, Utah .  Becky and I went to Ruby Steak House to celebrate Mother's Day.  We enjoyed a good Prime Rib dinner, then back to Sam's Club parking lot for the night. I'm

Collier-Seminole State Park

11/30/2014 Left home at 12:00 p.m. heading south to Key West Florida   for Becky's Birthday.  First stop, Collier Seminole State Park.  Nice small park. Collier-Seminole State Park Highlights Video: Experience the natural beauty and wildlife of the Everglades, Collier-Seminole State Park . The 7,271-acre park lies partly within the great mangrove swamp of southern Florida, one of the largest mangrove swamps in the world. DeLeon Springs, Florida State Parks Video

The outstanding feature of the 625-acre park is the spring, overlooking beautiful Spring Garden Run, producing 19 million gallons of water a day at 72 degrees year-round.  The swimming area is accessible by stairs, ramp and a swimmer lift.  Lifeguards are provided during the summer months only and pets are not allowed in or near the swimming area.  SCUBA Diving is limited to classes by certified instructors only.  Snorkeling is a popular activity, but access to the cave is prohibited.   If you prefer to stay above the water, canoes, paddleboats, and kayaks may be rented from the park's concession.  The park's paddling trail provides access to the 22,000 acres Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge, with lakes, creeks, and marshes to explore.  The free boat ramp, with dock, can accommodate boats up to about 20 feet, with the St. Johns River a distance of about 10 miles.  Fishing is excellent in the spring run from the shore...
