Hillsborough River State Park

Hayley and Brandon left for home around 11:00 a.m.  Becky and I cleaned up and put everything away.  Drove to park store and parked then road our bikes around the Park.  Ate lunch then headed home.  On way we stopped at Little Manatee State Park.  Checked out the camp sites.  Nice little park.

Brandon had to go to work today.  Hayley Becky and I went on a Trail hike.  Campfire and good camp food when Brendan gets back later this evening.
Brandon had to work late.  Fixed hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner.  Little warmer.  Low about 51°. 
Found leak in mattress. 







11/14/2014
Cool today and overcast until around noon.  Becky and I rode our bikes around, took a short hike, and road the tram with the Park ranger.  Becky volunteered to be the director on a short movie the ranger was making.  Cool evening.
Hayley and Brandon arrived about 8:30 p.m. after work.  We ate dinner and had smoors around a camp fire.  Cool evening, low about 43°.  Hayley sleep in a tent.  Air mattress had slow leak which made it a little uncomfortable for them unfortunately.

Arrived at Hillsborough State Park around 9:00 a.m.  No sites were available online so we took a chance and got here early hoping for a walk in site.  We lucked out and got their last site. 
We drove and got a few groceries and filled up our propane tank on the Kodiak.
When we returned we got set up and relaxed.  Had lunch around noon and enjoyed watching other campers arriving and setting up.

Blue Spring State Park covers more than 2,600 acres, including the largest spring on the St. Johns River. Blue Spring is a designated manatee refuge and the winter home to a growing population of West Indian Manatees. A short drive from Orlando, this 4,500-acre park is noted for its beautiful lakes, rolling hills, and scenic landscapes. Lake Louisa, the largest in a chain of 13 lakes, is designated as an Outstanding Florida Water Way. Lake Louisa, Hammond Lake and Dixie Lake, the park’s most accessible lakes, provide opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.
