12/3/2014 YouTube - Our Kodiak Adventures Becky and I heading back to the mainland from Bahia Honda State Park to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park . We were not disappointed when we heard this park has a lot to offer. Beautiful Coral, Fish, and clear water. On our way to John Pennekamp State Park, we stopped at The Turtle Hospital , a Hospital for Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Release of Sea Turtles. Interesting to see the wonderful work they are doing helping preserve Turtles.   In 1993, a bar called Fanny’s was fully renovated and is now the building known as The Turtle Hospital . Today, The Turtle Hospital is the only state-certified veterinary hospital in the world for sea turtles. More than half of the hospital’s equipment has been generously donated by hospitals, doctors, private individuals and organizations. Bahia Honda State Park

12/2/2014 YouTube - Our Kodiak Adventures Becky and I returned to Bahia Honda State Park after spending the day at Key West Fl. We are both tired, but had a wonderful time in Key West.  Lots of history, very interesting to us both. Bahia Honda State Park Camping   has water, electric, and sewage.  Some sites are right on the water, but ours was not. Small campground but lots to do.  We could hear the traffic on the bridge but wasn't to bad. Bahia Honda State Panrk Overview Video:   Becky and I rode our bikes through the campsites and down the road a mile or so to additional sites.  Nice water sites for both tents and RV's. The Old East Coast Railway Tracks  were constructed to the Key's in the 30's but during high hurricane winds, caused the train to crash into the water killing several hundred passengers.
